Before you invest deeply in someone's potential, look at the life they're actually demonstrating they can build with you.
Is this man demonstrating the character required to steward the kind of covenant I'm preparing for?
Can I rest with him?
Not just, “Can I build with him?”
Can I exhale with him? Can I be supported as well as supportive? Can I have a hard day without becoming the entire infrastructure of the relationship?
A partnership should not require one person to carry everything while calling it love.
“I got you” should eventually be met with “I got you too.”
Before you are someone's wife, you are God's woman.
